About Us

Mission Statement

At Kids On The Green, our mission is to create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment where children and young adults can thrive through well-being. We are committed to empowering individuals through meaningful skill development and fostering success in the creative industries and beyond. By addressing societal disparities, we aim to heal and uplift, continually innovating our approach to delivering well-being and mental health interventions. Our dedication lies in offering access, encouraging self-development, and promoting empowerment within our community.

Our Story

Kids On The Green was founded in June 2017 by youth practitioner Zoe LeVack as an emergency response for the children and young people in the community affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower in West London. In the immediate aftermath of the fire, KOTG was just a group of volunteers under a tree in a nearby Green space with a bag of footballs, a box of felt tips, a guitar, and a lot of love.

Over the years, KOTG has been organically led by listening to and growing with the young people we work with by responding to and listening to their feedback and needs through what they have told us they need to feel happier, safer, heard, and more empowered. Providing access to and enabling our young people a platform and voice to express themselves via Arts has been instrumental in our story. It has led KOTG to become the unique fusion of wellbeing, creative arts, and media education provision that we proudly are today.

As a direct result of enabling access to high-quality arts education and facilities, as well as our commitment to recovery and well-being interventions, our young people are nurtured and able to self-develop in a way that empowers them as individuals. KOTG is loved for its family feel, and our young people thrive on the one-to-one and small-group work we offer.

KOTG welcomes enquiries from volunteers. We particularly encourage skilled volunteers who have experience in the creative and performing arts, media, wellbeing, and youth mentoring.
